There are tour operators offering a selection of boating, round Island Cruises, glass-bottom boat tours, Scenic Flights around the Island and Balls Pyramid and land based guided tours. The scenery is spectacular! Fishing is a feature and boats, gear and guides can be hired. Scuba diving, snorkelling, reef walks are a highlight.
You can have the most enjoyable holiday you will ever have in your life. Amidst this "peace" in the Pacific you can swim, surf, snorkel, scuba dive, hand feed fish, (a real must!) deep-sea and game fishing, hiking & bushwalking, bird-watching, golf, tennis or bowls. For the adventurous, the ten hour, rope assisted climb up Mt Gower is a definite challenge.

Lord Howe Island Golf Club
Visitors welcome to join in! We also invite visiting players to join our club as overseas members, yearly subscription $80. Each year in November, the Lord Howe Island Golf Open week is held with approximately $4000 in prizes. Sunday is an 18 hole Ambrose event. Mon-Thurs, 72 holes - grass, nett, stableford and par events. Entry fee includes green fees, lunch and the presentation dinner. Entrants must have current AGU or LGU handicap. A wonderful week of golf and hospitality.
